THE STORY OF OUR RESTAURANT

Floral underline

We opened our Sandakan restaurant on the 8th December 2002. The concept of a colonial style English restaurant was an idea inspired by the famous Agnes Keith house next door.

After hearing that the author's house was being renovated to become the Agnes Keith Museum, owner Rory saw potential in the abandoned government headquarters for immigration, where Agnes’ garden would have been, and came up with the idea of a restaurant set in the same time as Agnes’ residence in Sandakan to compliment a great historical tourist attraction and make good use of the beautiful views over Sandakan Bay.

We maintain the traditional British colonial architecture and uniform as well as a typically British menu including such favourites as fish and chips, shepherds pie and cream teas.
